Best Teams in NY to battle it out for #1 this weekend at the UE Duals

The Union-Endicott Wrestling Club is proud to announce that the 2011 U-E Duals field is finalized. The 2011 U-E Duals will take place on January 8 and 9. The field will consist of 17 teams from eight different sections. The top four teams from last year’s U-E Duals (John Glenn, Spencerport, Chenango Forks, and Brentwood), will all be making the trip back. Section 11′s John Glenn, who finished the 2010 season as the number one ranked team in New York State will look to defend their title. With an expansion to the trounament field there will be many first timers in 2011. This includes; Shenendehowa (2), Sachem East (11), Warwich Valley (9), Saint Anthony’s (CHSSA), Long Beach (8), and Mahopac (1).

 

The U-E Duals has become recognized as the New York dual meet state championships.  This year’s field looks to be the toughest to date. With the expansion of the tournament, many sections are being
represented.  In addition to strong teams, this tournament is a showcase for the outstanding talent in New York, as many of the best wrestlers will be competing.  For two days, at the beginning of the new year, the best wrestlers and the best teams in New York will be competing to be crowned the 2010-2011 New York State Dual Meet Champions.
