The Fargo Dome, ND - 7/22/09.

Steven Leshinger does not make All American in Fargo, ND but he will come back a better person and wrestler for the effort

Unfortunately Steven did not attain his goal to become a Cadet All American, but he showed true courage by just making the trek out to North Dakota. It takes a lot courage, determination and heart just to walk out on the mat in front of a 15,000 seat arena with over 20 mats. It is actually  the largest wrestling tournament in the World.

While most HS aged kids are busy with summer activities, Steven has been training for this event to become a better and more prepared wrestler. This work ethic will no doubt come in handy later on in life from both a wrestling and personal standpoint.

2 out of his 4 losses during the Greco Roman & Freestyle tournaments came to eventual All Americans. Sometimes the blind draw can be good to you, other times it cannot. Either way, Steven will have gained valuable wrestling and life experience. He has been training with some of the best HS wrestlers and coaches in the World for the last 7-10 days.

Success is not always judged by the immediate or recent wins and losses. As many have said, "You cannot judge the economy in one day".

Please congratulate Steven on his efforts.

the WC salutes you!
